I had an amazing chat in the forest with a new friend this weekend. Everyone has been telling me how hard it is to meet friends in Vancouver, and I have been very fortunate to find this not the case at all. I have been here just shy of 4 months and I already feel as though I have made some amazing, lasting friendships with the people I have met. The people I have been meeting are fascinating, challenging, funny, caring, and diverse, and I cant wait to see what this summer will bring me, as friendship seem to flourish, grow and deepen during long hot summer days.
