at least we didnt die.

I dread thanksgiving. Thanksgiving seems to have become about food, not about giving thanks. Im not a huge fan of overeating. It tastes good going in but the 24 hours of indigestion, lethargy, and too tight pants is never worth that taste of dry turkey and canned cranberries. The thing is, in my opinion, THANKFULNESS is one of, if not THE most important virtue in life. I believe that feeling grateful or appreciative of someone or something in your life actually attracts more of the things that you appreciate and value in your life. The more you can be thankful for, the more you will begin to see that love, and hope, and joy, and abundance in life. It changes your perception, and that changes your reality.

So today, instead of overstuffing my body with unwanted calories, I am going to take some time out, to truly remember my blessings, thank the creator for all the beauty that surrounds me, and feel thankful for all that I have, and all that I am.

"Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough." -Oprah Winfrey

Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful." -Buddha
