So awhile ago I started this saying.

There comes a time in everyone's life when things go missing. Your keys, the dogs leash, your favourite coat, your sanity. And in these times, I have found that saying, "I cant find it anywhere", always makes it appear in a magical and unexplained way. I cant explain how it works, but I think it has something to do with giving up control, relinquishing the need to do things on my own power, and giving everything, even the smallest of things to "god" and letting go.

I did that today, with this seemingly eternal house search. I said, "I cant find anything". Meaning; Im at the end of my leash, Im tired, I have no more strength, I need the creators strength.

Well see what happens, Ive never been let down by LOVE before...

Reminder

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.”

I got scared

Today reality came crashing down on my optimism. And I broke down.

New News

So, we found a place. Its in Gastown, and has a very downtown, urban feel. Its totally different than what I expected I would be living in when moving here. I was expecting a house, on a quiet tree-lined street, close to the action. Instead Im living downtown, in a beautiful albeit small apartment, with no green space within sight. Im excited and reality has sunk in so Im getting butterflies when I think about how different my life is going to be.

On top of all of that, I went to a sushi making birthday party last night and met beautiful people and had a wonderful time. I have a little bit of social anxiety when meeting people, and I am proud of myself for stepping out of my comfort zone and diving in.

So, horray for new experiences and facing fears.

And we should always know that we can do anything

Saw this picture today and it reminded me of the Jonsi song " Go Do".

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6HjT4SQKJI

go sing, too loud
Make your voice break- Sing it out
Go scream, do shout
Make an earthquake...

You wish fire would die and turn colder
You wish young eyes could see you grow older
We should always know that we can do anything

Go drum, too proud
Make your hands ache - Play it out
Go march through crowds
Make your day break...

You wish silence released noisy drummers
You wish white noise surrendered to summers
We should always know that we can do everything

Go do, you'll know how to
Just let yourself, fall into landslide

Go do, you'll know how to
Just let yourself, give into flood tide

Go do!

Tie strings to clouds
Make your own lake - Let it flow
Throw seeds to sprout
Make your own break - Let them grow

Let them grow (Endless summers)
Let them grow (Endless summers)

(Go do endless summers)

You wish surprise would never stop wonders
You wish sunrise would never fall under

You wish surprise would never stop wonders
You wish sunrise would never fall under
We should always know that we can do anything

Go do!

Living for a Living, not Working for a Living.

So I've been in Vancouver for just under a week, and one thing that is slapping me in the face is how creative everyone I meet is. People draw and blog and knit and sew. They make leather bound books, and change purses, and write music and make posters. They have ideas and inspirations and they follow through with their genius. A lot of the people that I have been meeting dont have regular 9 to 5 jobs, and they dont seem to be thinking about their future, investing their money, buying property or having the biggest and best toys. Its refreshing. Its a little scary. But they are living, creating, and engaging. They have community and seem happy.

BTW, I totally know that there are people in Calgary, all over Canada and all over the world who are creative and lovely and doing their thing. Im just pleased to be invited into these peoples lives, as they are loving and welcoming and friendly. And that is something new for me.

I went to asia and all I got was some poetry

Ive learnt that pride comes before the fall, ive learnt that spiritual pride may be the worst of all.
Ive learnt how to give and receive love, and reconnected with life below and above.
Ive felt alone, and Ive felt scared. But through those times I became more aware.
Of God, of myself, and who I am not.
Ive relearned things, Ive already been taught.
Ive seen myself as an equal to the world.
Ive allowed my heart to soften; ive been unfurled.
Ive been low, Ive been high, and most everywhere in between
I opened myself up to fears previously left unseen.
Ive struggled and Ive basked in earthly paradise.
Ive let my body tell me when to sleep and when to rise.
Ive given myself over to this journey and this life.
In order to do the
best I can as a human, a woman, a wife.
